TA Lumi Bake TTOC - please share these notes with the class and also with my TA's (Michelle and Lumi) 1. Great news class! Your Final Exam Cancelled Due To RSS Schedule Mis-Print. Instead we have your final bake day with Lumi!!!  Attendance - TA's will take (Michelle or Lumi)  Lumi- please then hand out your recipes to each lab group. Review with students any important reminders. They all watched your demo on Monday so they should be good to go!  TTOC or Michelle - can you please video a bit of Lumi's supervision of students for me please to review when I get back to school - likely Monday.  Michelle and Lumi - please be sure to remind students to finish cleaning prior to 5 min to the end of class. Please then conduct station checks for each lab group.  Should students wish to take left overs home with them I do have extra yogurt containers available in the back room and that are clean in the dishwasher as an FYI. TTOC - please share these notes with the class and also with my TA's (Michelle and Lumi) Attendance - TA's will take (Michelle or Lumi)  While attendance is being taken please send a student or TA up to get the Ipad Kit from the library (8 Ipads) Then have the students complete the above linked Kahoot (most will be able to use their phones but those who don't have their phones can use the Ipads). Bannock Prep For Two Classes (B&F)  Recipe

Oct 28 2022 Seed Bake!!!!

Seed Bake!!!  Ingredients  US Metric   1x 2x 3x ▢ ¾   cup   raw pumpkin seeds ▢ 1   tablespoon   olive oil ▢ ½   teaspoon   kosher salt ▢ ⅛   teaspoon   black pepper (optional) Equipment: *Bowl *Spoon & Wooden Spoon or Spatula *Silicone Mat *Silicone baster *4 sided baking tray Instructions  Preheat oven to 350°F (177ÂșC). In a small bowl combine pumpkin seeds, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Lightly grease a sheet pan with olive oil. (use silicone baster).  Evenly spread the seasoned pumpkin seeds on the sheet pan. Bake until the seeds are toasted and crunchy, about 12 to 15 minutes.  Stir every 5 minutes for even toasting, and check for doneness with each stir by tasting a seed for crunchiness. Transfer the roasted pumpkin seeds to a bowl to cool down.

  Attendance.  Students to view the below linked video. The Top 5 Food Mistakes Most Teens Make and How to Fix Them Students to complete associated handout. These are double sided. Students need a pencil? Sign your name on the board and borrow one from the yogurt container on the teacher's desk.  Top 5 Teen Food Mistakes Assignment.  Once students have completed their worksheet please review overall answers/tips as a class. Students then need to place their completed worksheet inside their Baking 8 Block F duo-tangs. * All class duo-tangs are located in the filing cabinet at the front of the room. Students to utilize the box labelled Baking 8 F. Any time at the end of class? Students who have not finished their 'Nutrition Workbooks' - already located inside student duo-tangs - can have time to do so. Totally done everything? Uno is available at the front of the room to play quietly in groups to end of class.
